TWEENS & TEENS (ages 11-19): Have you ever wished you could write and read in a different language? Come and learn how in this fun and interactive class.

The Elder Futhark Runes are symbols that have been in use since approximately 800 BCE and are still in use today. The runes are used as a model for Tolkien’s alphabets throughout the Lord of the Rings books! And you can learn how to use them to create secret notes with your friends.

In this fun and interactive session, we will learn how to recognize the 24 characters of the Elder Futhark Runes. We will learn their names and sounds and have fun playing games and spelling out words with the characters in a phonetic way.
